from his three "tails." This is a pelagic fish that arrives inshore each spring,
as sargassum weed moves closer to the beach. Tripletail assume a passive,
waiting game, imitating a floating piece of debris, but strike very quickly when
baitfish or crabs pass within reach. These fish love structure and shade, even
the meager shade offered by a floating crabtrap buoy during summer in deeper bays.
