Numerous species of sturgeon exist in the world. Along the Gulf of Mexico, sturgeon with that name spend their spring and summers free-jumping in Florida rivers. A number of boaters have been injured, by colliding with these fish in mid-air. Sturgeon are armour-plated and capable of serious injury to boaters speeding through a stretch of water where these fish congregate.
